Hello everyone! I hope you are excited to see something else apart from my Ipsy unbagging this month. I actually have so many posts planned, but because of time, I haven’t been able to write them. Hopefully this will inspire me to write many more of those blogposts. Anyways, back to the unboxing.
Shopping Experience
I put my alarm to not miss these boxes, because I missed them for Black Friday. This has been the worst shopping experience on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website. I had the boxes in my cart, but I couldn’t check out. It took me (literally) an hour to check out. First, I kept getting an error because the website was busy. Once I was able to get through that, when I tried to select the shipping method, no options were shown. Eventually, I was able to check out. I honestly think the best way to deal with this is the virtual queue.
Shipping
I saw on Jeffree’s Instagram that the boxes were already packed, all they had to do was ship. I was mortified when I started seeing unboxings on YouTube, and I still hadn’t received the shipping confirmation email. Eventually I did get the email. I placed my order on Jan 30 and the boxes arrived on Feb 7 and Feb 8.
What I purchased
So, I originally was going to only buy the Premium box, but shipping was over $20, so I just purchased both. Jeffree Star Cosmetics offer free shipping on orders over $100. So I ended up buying:
- Premium Box $40
- Deluxe Box $75
For a total of $115.
Premium Box
My premium box had the following products:
- Jeffree Star Popsocket in red (No price for similar on the webpage so $10)
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Can’t Relate $18
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Clout $18
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Watermelon Soda $18
- Lip Ammunition in Jeffree’s Girl $18
- Lip Frost in Regina George $29
Total value of products in box $111.00. That means a 178% increase in value.
Deluxe Box
My Deluxe Box contained the following products:
- Jeffree Star Popsocket in red (I will put another $10)
- Can’t Relate Tee in Small $25
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Diamond $18
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Posh Spice $18
- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Dreamhouse $18
- Lip Ammunition in Jeffree’s Girl $18
- Velour Lip Liner in Unicorn Blood $16
- Lip Frost in Lavender Snow $29
- Supreme Frost in Frozen Peach $32
Total Value of products in box is $184. That means 145% increase in value.
Final Thoughts
I really liked my boxes. I was only disappointed in 1 thing. I remember Jeffree Star mentioning on his social media, that if I picked different sized boxes, I was not going to have any repeats. But, now I have 2 Jeffree’s Girl Lip Ammos.
The rest I liked. I already own Lavender Snow, but that’s a risk you take when ordering mystery boxes. As you can see in the numbers above, the premium box was the better deal. All in all, it was a fun experience, but I will not be ordering a mystery box again. The reason is I own so many Jeffree Star cosmetics products, I run the risk of having repeats.
Now, I need to figure out what to do with that additional Jeffree’s Girl Lip Ammo and Lavender Snow Skin Frost.
